My Ride Rock Hill to Implement Proposed Route Changes on September 30

Starting on September 30, 2024, My Ride will implement several route changes proposed during previous public comment period. These changes have been made to improve timeliness, enhance safety at stop waiting areas and extend Route 1 service reaching Albright Rd.
Route 1: Downtown Loop
New stops will connect White Street through Main Street and Black Street to Albright Road. While stops on Winthrop University’s campus will close, students and faculty can still access the bus at stops along the campus perimeter. A new stop will be accessible from Stewart Ave near Oakland Ave.
Additional stops will be added along White Street, Black Street, near Annafrel Street, Jones Avenue, Workman Street, and Orange Street, with a new stop on Albright Road at Black Street. This will provide more access to stores and restaurants near Albright Road! Additionally, the stop on Elizabeth Lane @ Fountain Park will move to E Black Street.
Route 2: Saluda/Heckle Loop
Route 2 will see a few adjustments for better efficiency, including a new stop on Constitution Blvd @ Main Street and Health Care Drive. The current stop at Glenwood Drive/Constitution Blvd will move over to Constitution at Health Care Drive, ensuring continued service to the medical park while maintaining timeliness.
Route 3: Cherry/Riverwalk Line
Route 3 will no longer service stops within Winthrop University’s campus, but will move to the perimeter, with new stops at Cherry Road & Constitution Blvd and Cherry Road & Camden Avenue. These adjustments will improve overall timeliness while still providing access to the campus.
Inbound stops on Eden Terrace and Patton Street will relocate to the corners of Cherry Road and Richmond Drive. Stops along Riverwalk will also change, with the route now entering Riverwalk from Cherry Road and turning onto Herron’s Ferry Road, near Lidl. The current stop beside Lidl will move to Herron’s Ferry Road & Marburg Lane, and the stop on Riverwalk Parkway near the YMCA will close. A new stop will be added at Herron’s Ferry Road & Dunkins Ferry Road.
Route 4:
Route 4 will add a new stop on Constitution Blvd @ Main Street.
Look out for bus stop signs with an orange ribbon, indicating stops that will be affected by these updates. Stop times may also shift due to the route changes, so plan to arrive early and check updated route times on the interactive map.
